You could have like an echo fade-in. Old school trick, refer to Sepultura's 'Airse'. Or just one of those momentary reversed fade-in things, like somewhere in the grunted section in Goatwhore's 'Eucharist Blood Guilt'. Sounds quite eerie. Sure there are better examples, but can't think of them.

I wonder what growling into Paul Masvidal's synth would sound like...
