i appreciate the advice, and i realize the recordings aren't up to par. we need to practice more i guess.

i guess i phrased my question badly. Now that i'm reading it, i realize i kinda said the opposite of what i intended to.

I know why my voice crapped out after recording, i wasn't using my diaphragm enough and was doing it with bad technique for 7 and a half hours.

I know i need to tweak and improve my technique, but i also like the way effects make vocals sound. a little reverb would give it a more whole sound, and some distortion would give it that kick- ass crackling effect. these two effects i've heard used by the vocalist of A Life Once Lost (among others), and i was wondering what they might do to a voice like mine.


i guess my real question is this:
what effects sound cool on vocals?
