It depends on the tone you are after. IMO DR pretty much makes a superior string for every style. DR Highbeams are bright, good for slapping and tapping. DR Sunbeams are the same string but with nickel wraps instead of stainless steel like the Highbeams. They are IMO the best roundwound string made right now, warmer tone than the highbeams and they feel super smooth. Whatever string you get, I would get heavy gauge.
