The best thing to do is to trace it out on the guitar. This insures a pickguard that fits the guitar perfectly.
I made a pickguard out of 1/16" aluminum diamond deck for my Epi. Cost me like $30 to do it myself. Not that I'm saying you need to try to make your own, but you can trace a better pickguard for a specific guitar rather then use a general cookie cutter one.
Check it.
