Oh yeah, and what Jitter bug is talking about is also the way you breathe in yoga, too. Your mouth closed and inhale through your nose. Although when I sing I tend to take it from both.
You can practice normal correct posture while you're doing it. Put your shoulders down, inhale deeply through your nose, and push the air out through your nose in short controlled exhilations. Don't do it more than a few times or you can get light-headed. Then take a few normal cleansing breaths which is just normal breathing. It'll wake you up and make you more aware of your body, too.
