Yep. The mid-late 80's saw thrash as a huge success, and from the late 80's to mid 90's, thrash became oversatured with second-rate bands as well as many of the first-rate acts being bastardized by record companies trying to cash in on the phenomena, plus certain bands just plain starting to suck of, apparently, their own volition.
