Im not a bassist, but i definetly agree that a bass should have an active purpose in a band. Like bass solos (Cannibal Corpse) Or weird ass bass slaps (Cryptopsy) Im sick of bands just ignoring the potentional of a bass. I mean cmon... guitar solo.. keyboard solo.. bass solo... it would kick ass
