Recommend a book with begining to play rythem guitar?

I want to play thrash/death metal but I like a good starting point. I know alot of scales and chords but what is a good book or 2 how to play rythem guitar for death/thrash? Even a book that explains...

Looking to get a death metal sound...

I bought a Behringer V-Tone GMX 1200H Head analog last year. I know alot of people hate Behringer and all, but its not a bad head for the money.

My main problem is it doesn't give enough disortion...
