Epoxy
The jaco way is just ripping the frets out and then filling hte holes, and finally put a layer of marine epoxy over the fretboard to resist string damage. btw only use flatwound strings.

If hte dragon slayer is bass why does it have such a crap cutaway in the bottom of body that bass would never sound right ever heard of reputable makes like pedulla spector and fender
