I've got the same model, but the head version, and i love it way more than my 100w dual reverb JCM900, it sounds so much better! :) It's a great amp, and i think it handles an overdrive pedal really...

That snare is awful.... really really bad, EQ won't really help there, you need to pick a sample that has much more body to it. I don't like the sound of sampled overheads, i just find they stand out...
