I was doing some research and I came across Angelo's website.

I've heard of him before. I'm thinking of purchasing one of his earlier tapes
from Starlicks Publishers: Master Session series. Have any of you seen this
tape? He's got a couple of other instructional videos also. Seen those?
Have any of you guys been to one of his clinics?

I've never heard his music. He was in a band named Nitro.

Well, tell me what you think of this guy.

I've seen his video on advanced speed and picking technique, amazing. It is rediculous how fast he is. And its musical too not just mechanical shredding. He can do everything he does right handed on a left handed guitar by crossing his hands. He also has this thing where he flaps his left hand on the top and bottom on the neck, he is the only one who I've ever seen do it. He is comparable to Jason Becker interms of writing music, only his music is bit more experimental, and I think he is faster.

I've seen one of his clinics here at Feedback Utrecht, a pretty big music store, that guy is insane

ha also plays a two handed guitar to show off, not two on one side, no, in a V-shape, just tappin his arse off, one of the most crazy guitarist I've ever saw. allthough I kinda miss ' feeling' in his stuff, he's super-technical and incredibly fast.

Yeah he is probably one of the most technical/fast guitarists ever. Hes got more talent than Yngay too. Being able to shred with with your left and right hand is incredible. Nitro sucks though, just power metalish type style with a extremely high voice.

But like most great shredders, he is definatly not a song writer. His solo carrier is tedious and redundant like that of Malmsteens.

I ONLY HEARD 1 SONG FROM THIS GUY....I THINK IT WAS SOMETHING CALLED TIME TRAVELLER. THE SONG WASN'T THAT GREAT BUT I WAS TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY BY HIS SPEED. I THOUGHT I WAS SOME KIND OF ARRANGEMENT
AND THAT NOBODY COULD PLAY THAT FAST.

He's good to listen to every now and then but gets really boring. The same runs, the same sweeps, even uses the same key regularly so many of his songs sound extremely similar. He's technically amazing but his songwriting ability lacks.

You think that's amazing huh...? Dude, that vid sucks compared to the same solo but when he was like 10 (20?) years younger...

He played on that "nailguitar" with 28 frets or something and had still long hair. :D

That's debatable. Marcus Paus had the world record at 46.67 notes per second, although some of what was picked up as notes was just fuzz or slop. Yeah. Fareri would have to be one of the most boring guitarist around. At least you can enjoy Michael Angelo's stuff, even if it's just every now and then. No Boundaries is also a very fun song to play.

I think Batio's writing far exceeds what most shedders do. I can enjoy alot of his stuff, its more than just wow he is fast, i dig alot of his writing.

He claims that he's never worn a wig, which is unbelievable after seeing this pic of Nitro.

Fastest I've seen. Don't know how he holds his pick like he does. I have the 'Speed Kills' video and it's incredible.

I would kill myself if I wore my hair like they do in the Nitro pic. Hats are a write off.
