Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) joins Black Metal band, Twilight.

And they're trying to convert Aaron Turner of Isis over. God damn that'd be fucking awesome. To be honest I'd never heard Twilight until now but it is really excellent and sounds like the perfect platform.

But really why have I never heard Twilight until now? Check out the album Monument to Time End. Its really, really good. Gomers, for some reason I see you really digging this.

EDIT: Apparently Aaron Turner is already part of the band, or at least was on the last album.

Why haven't you heard of them? Because, for a band aspiring to be dark and grim, I doubt if there ever was a choice of name in the history of the world so unfortunate and ill timed as Twilight.

Ugh, that actually bothers me a lot.
The first album was good when it was just 5 black metal guys doing it. When they added the Atlas Moth guys and Aaron for the second album, it wasn't my thing at all.
Wrest is the only one worth anything in that lineup.

Always sort of thought of them as a joke black metal boy band. When I imagine them recording all I can conjure are images of circle jerks.
