And just for clarification, I asked my hubby about Goat Island. I was in the wrong place remembering that one! It's up by Niagara Falls. lol

I think the best view I ever had of Catalina was from up on Mt. Laguna at a place called Kitchen Creek. I think it was part of the Cleveland National Forest. There was a clearing up where we used to 4wheel and you could see it off in the distance. Beautiful. Got some really awesome rooster tails driving the Scout through a big mud hole up there, too.
