After 2 years of trade school for plumbing/pipefitting, and about 20 resumes later, I finally landed a job as a plumber. :cool:

Congrats man. Is it a competitive field? Whats the standard pay for a plummer?

Plumbing is the only profession where you'll hear your boss say, "Be sure your 'joints' have lots of 'Dope' in them!"

That's great, BassB'. So many people go to a school for one thing and end up in a completely other field. People will always need plumbers so that was a good choice to pursue. :)

Dylan - Fairly competitive, especially this time a year, not too much steady work for new construction..starting pay isn't that great, I'm a second year apprentice and I'll be making about 15 an hour, journeymen make 25-35 an hour around here. There is also lots of money to be made on the side.

Might have to evacuate soon, a lot of Colorado Springs has had to abandon their homes, the fires are just getting worse. I don't really have anything to lose but other people do.

Just got back from Memphis, Tn. and I didn't get thrown out of the Gibson factory this time. In fact I got to tour the place unlike the Nashville plant. In Memphis they make the semi-hollow body guitars. Coolest thing was the press machine they use to make the carve tops used to make weapons in WWII. Take that hippies!

Also Mrs Soulinsane and I have been married 10 years :rolleyes:
