Sort of related, but did anyone else hate E.T as a kid? I couldn't find a reason in my mind why anyone would want to help something that looked like a walking chunk of fecal matter.

During your absence we had quite a problem with spam bots. A lot of people left or became less active, which is why the forum is so slow these days. I remember Mansley and I manually clearing over 20 PAGES worth of members out one at a time. That was fun. I can only imagine how much work the more active mods had to do around that same time period.

Other than the Black Metal Wars, these were surely the darkest days of mt/f.

I hated E.T. as a kid, but really because it made me bawl like a fucking kid watching his parents die. Seriously, I would cry hysterically until I was carried out of the room and even still, I would hold onto whatever was near me to resist. I watched it recently, maybe 4 years ago and it was cool, but damn, I have tormented memories that even a severe rape victim doesn't have.

I have yet to see it in its entirety. I still haven't seen all the Star Wars, Star Trek, Titanic, Twilight, Lord of the Rings, dada dada whatever movies. I dunno. Maybe when I'm old and grey. Wait. Nevermind.

I've been to the nursing home quite a few times for about a year now and for some reason it really hit me yesterday. Funny thing about it was after we left my hubby was saying just about the same things I was thinking. There was a sweet old lady, probably in her 90's, that came in to where we were visiting and picked up a stuffed bunny rabbit to cuddle with. She was also picked up a lock of my hair so I asked her if she had long hair. She said when she was a younger she did. She had a cut on her forehead so she must have fallen at some time. It's really a trip to think that could be me eventually.

Well look at you with your obscure thread title references. It doesn't count, though, because it's not a film title (though there is a film about Pistol Pete whose title would count).

Maybe I made a film about him, and it's in my basement. Maravich, that is. I was thinking I might have used that when I made a new RTT in the past, but I don't remember.

Pistol Pete died fairly publicly almost 25 years ago, so I seriously doubt he's in your basement. Though I can only hope that he is, and that the proper authorities have been alerted through this messageboard.

However you managed to tie in concepts like "authority" or "proper" in the context of this place is beyond me.

I always thought he was cute when I was in school so I'd watch the basketball games when he was playing. The only other sports references you might see from me involve Secretariat, Man O' War (his great grand-daughter, Cherry, used to room with my horse), and Eddie Arcaro.

I'm scribbling off a letter across the pond to see what's up with Padanarum. HIs area can be a bit volatile at times, but I'm hoping one of the stray cats around there just chewed the wires connected to his computer, and he's offline from that. He better not have gotten raptured and I didn't!!! haha :D
