Which easy death/black metal song to play ?
Hi all,
well, here is the problem, I have a guitar since more than 5 years but I play like a cow... One months ago I decided to play again, so I bought a PRS Paul Allender and a Vypyr 30 and let's go ! As I like Cradle of Filth, Septic Flesh, and the others band in this style I tried to play few songs and.. It was a mess. Actually I'm able to play, with some errors, would you love a monsterman from Lordi and the part before the solo of A coming Race (Hypocrisy). I'm looking for some a good introduction to death / black metal without a very high speed (I'm not able to play very well my dark desire (Dark Funeral) cause of the speed). Do you have some ideas of which song to play ? Thank ! |
Start with, "Mary had a little lamb". It's brutal.

Six Feet Under stuff?
Most Black Metal stuff is just too fast for beginners. But srsly first of all work on your picking skills etc. with some simple lessons you can find all over the internet |
Hi Gomly,
well I work on my picking skills in parallel, doing some exercices, try to play some songs at 75%, but problem is exercices are a little boring  So I try to find some song which I can use as exercice :D I will check for six feet under, I dont know very well what they play. |
OLD MANS CHILD!
The Pagan Prosperity basically taught me how to play guitar. Maelstrom Mephisto of Puritantical Euphoric Misanthropia is also a really fun, but pretty fast song - it's easy to learn and from there you can work on the speed. Try playing along with Guitar Pro's speed trainer. |
Well I have to admit that OMC look like a little bit too much challenging for me, sadly

Sirenia is pretty good as training material.

Try Behind The Mask, that is probably the easiest one. My Kingdom Will Come might be playable as well. |
