I'm digging the idea, though for my own part I can say right away that I don't have either the equipment or time to be of much use. But hey, I can always help spreading the result and contribute with un-asked for expert advice.

i am down for this, it will be a pain in the ass though haha. My drum sound quality from the camera will be by no means great, but i can record stuff whenever.

My Squier Strat would probably burn a hole through your monitor if I sent you a clip of me playing it, what with it and my playing skills being on fire and such. I love you all too much to ruin your sweet screens. As my old priest used to say just before punching me in the back of the head, "I'm out!".

I'm looking forward to seeing you guyses at work, though. Hmmm, that sounded fairly sinister. And it was.

I think it might help to get DameFraMorkum involved, because I imagine cutting together all of the videos into a single clip with cool zoom and pan effects etc. is right up her street (oo err!).

I'm too lazy/busy to do any playing, but I'll mix/master whatever you guys end up doing if you do do it.

I have plenty of equip, but I can't brag, so you'll have to see my skills and judge for yourself, but I have:

1) An Electric Drumset, 1 snare, 1 base (double pedal), 3 toms, and 2 cymbals + hi hat cymbal and pedal. In other words, I hate it but I couldn't afford the extra $400 for the extra tom and cymbal (The set was $550 entirely... I think).

2) I also have a guitar, bass, guitar-amps, bass amp, mics and speakers with lil' ol' $30 mixer. So, whatever you need: drummer, guitarist, bassist, or vocalist, oh and keyboard. Basically, fill up as many positions as you can, and then take the position you WANT (So if you play guitar strictly, I'm just gonna let you play your guitar) and I'll just do the job nobody wants to do or can/will do.

3) Most importantly, for recording I have my mom's DVD cam, and a Saffire USB Interface. That one that is $200. Yeah, that one.

So yea, there's drums and rhythm guitar. And I vote that Paddy should indeed participate, but instead of littering the net with his irresponsibly graphic visage, we'll just fill his parts with something I know we all can love. The Metaltabs Gold Collection of MS Paddy Paint Favorites.

Now there's a thread waiting to happen! I'll compile the collection when I get news of my terminal, inoperable brain and face cancer. It shall be my legacy and I'll leave it to you, my friends.

Is this collaboration thing happening behind the scenes or has it been abandoned? I think it's a bitchin' idea. Someone do something already!

depending on what song, I can record vocals. I don't have any fancy equipment though.
