i was just curious what kinda settings do you use in your amps and pedals? Mine is:

Bass:10
mid:2
Treble:10
Reverb:0-3

and for my Boss metalzone:

level: bout half
low:boost
high:bout half or less
dist: max

my marshall:

Bass: 10
Mid: 5
Treble: 10
Reverb: 0

i use that for everything but my metalzone. I usually use my pod when im playing straight metal, but only because i haven't found the right setting for me on my metal zone.

treble- 7
contour (mid)- 1 (piled, 10 would be fully scooped)
bass- 1
reverb: 0-2

this thing's pretty fucking bassy in the first place, and if you turn the bass up at all, the sound gets very unbalanced, and stuff starts falling off the walls.

I'll post exactly what it is tomorrow on my marshall but it's along the lines of full bass/treble, high reverb and no mid, full high

wow, a shitload of people just cutting off mid fully, i like the bass/treble mix it gives me so i just keep it at medium while flooring the bass and treble to 10.

Yeah. I actually cahnge my mid between 2 and 6 or smth. Depends on what I play. I like to play with my amp settings.:D

i need a good setting for clean tone.

What kinda clean? like soft bluesy of a Sharp one?

not really, like a metallica "one" or "nothing else matters" type of clean.

Well, try to put more terble and some bass, not too much... Ill post some settings for you tomorrow if I have time.

Try this:

-place your bass up to 10
-keep your mid around 1 and 3
-and place your treble to 7-10

that should be an oukei setting for clean metallica songs.
