Hetfield or Mustaine
 

Just who is better Dave Mustaine or James Hetfield which on of this to metal gods is better I want to know I want your opinions

well, i dont like Metallica at all. plus, Megadeth was my first metal band i got into. Megadeth's songs are just plain better.....

I JUST CAN'T STAND HETFIELD VOICES SINCE HE CUT HIS HAIR (MAYBE HE CUT HIS BALL TOO) I GOT A METALLICA DVD "CUNNING STUNTS" HIS VOICE IS TOTALLY HORRIBLE. BUT I ADMIT THAT BACK IN THE EARLY METALLICA DAYS HETFIELD WAS WAY BETTER THAN MUSTAINE ALTHOUGHT "IMO" DAVE IS A MUCH BETTER GUITARIST

i don't know much about mustaine. but i would have to go with hetfield
because some of that guitar in M*******A is good.

i like mustaine better, but i always thought it was kirk who solo'ed in m*******a

Kirk did most of Metallica's solos, but James sometimes had them, here and there.

If you listen to Metallica a lot, you'll be able to kinda tell who's doing it, at least I can with some of them.

Dave is definitley a better guitar player, that can be heard in the dueling lead guitars in megadeth songs. I like Hetfield's voice better though.......

Hedfield, i was a "big" metallica fan when I was young, i still like them but not that much. I never really liked Megadeth

I allways thought that dave mustaine was a big whiner, so obviously hetfield (allthough he sold out now)

well u know what they say man cut your hair lose your power. and i would say mustaine i prefer megadeth to metallica

yeah, mustaine is a whiner and an asshole but, Mustaine kicks the shit out of hetfield and his fucking dog. mustaine plays a shit load better than hetfield plus it took longer for megadeth to sell out then it did metallica, so megadeth kicks metallica into the big piece of horse shit lars ulrich came from and that's that

Awesome solos.........Stupid Hetfield made the worst decision of kicking Mustaine out!!!! If Hetfield didn't do that Metallica would still have been METAL!!!!

You've gotta keep this in mind: Dave is/was a (now-recovering) heroin addict, in addition to several other substances. My guess is he may have been a great guitarist, but not exactly the greatest guy to be around. Rumors are that's why Friedman left.

and IMO, 'Tallica would still be metal if they had Cliff...

vocally, i like hetfield better.... mustaine i believe is a better guitarist that james, but kirk would woop mustaine's ass anyday in a guitar duel... but dont get me wrong, megadeth kicks ass... im not a big fan of megadeth, and metallica is the first band i ever got into so they stuck with me.

Mustain = Better guitarist.
Hetfield = Better vocalist.

I was fairly dissapointed with Megadeth's double live album in terms of vocals, not only did they sound shit but he coudn't even hit half the notes towards the end. Pretty dissapointing for a professional.
