Can the bass be dropped to C
I have always wondered if bassists drop down to C. If they do wouldn't it sound too floppy the string. It would be like elastic bands.
:flame:  |
You can but it wouldn't sound very good.
|
They would just have to buy thicker gauge strings, to keep tension and sound right.
|
Let me change my original response. Typically bands that tune in C don't sound very good.
I Wrestled a Bear Once is one example. |

get a five string and tune up. if you have little strings it doesn't jack with the neck. That's what my old bassist did when we used to tune to C standard. Then we had a guy with a four string that tuned all the strings down...and honestly I don't remember it being too bad.
But now we tune to B and have no bassist....or second guitarist..... :( |
its sounds muddy if you drop it down to a C and bands that use them are the ones that cant play together lol use a stuido and a bass drum for that if you even need it

I'm sure it can be dropped to C... but it would probably sound like an elephant with diarrhea. Edit : Post 3,333 :p |
