A casual menacing glance is all he gives

Glued sheet on concrete upside down
Precision with visual obscurity
Double check to see if it's uniform
We chuckle as the newsprint is discovered
And disappear in an instant

Okay, nobody's commenting on my dream about me and Hugh Laurie refinishing furniture. That's okay.

HAHA, I'm glad I caught that second post before commenting - are you serious? It makes a lot of sense if you are.

My first guess was that it was about a dream, or something dreamy and that the instant disappearance at the end was waking up. Quite a pleasent read I must say.

Yup, we were veneering a coffee table out on the sidewalk of a local shopping plaza. The last leg was away from him and once he put the glued surface on the leg and then looked at it we realized it wasn't wood veneer but newspaper that had been glued on. We had a chuckle about it and I woke up.
I'd been watching Home and Garden Tv earlier and was fascinated watching them iron the veneer on the edge of a table. I guess that stuck with me along with watching House before I went to sleep.

"But the house has my..." Oooooo what a low one.

But I think I'm missing out a little bit in the beginning, is Jaspar reference to something or someone special?

Sorry about that. Those first couple lines just popped into my head and I used them for a "fly on the wall" type observance.

I figured it was something like that, but you never know. Definetly has a place in that printed collection I'm sure is coming out one of these days.
