Black dot inlays installed
Pictures---> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...eyST/fretz2.jpg Pictures---> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...leyST/fretz.jpg The fretboard radius-ing is in progress and my Crafter (Sataev) plans to finish carving (headstock bevel, heel, etc) and also to install the Stainless Steel fretwire today and on the weekend. He expects it will be ready for first layer of "sealer lacquer" on Tuesday or Wednesday. |
Update!
I was a little surprised to discover today that my guitar's neck has not actually been set yet. The friction fit of the neck joint is so tight that you can hang the guitar by it. That's a good indicator that it will be a very strong 'n' solid set. :vampire: When my Crafter (Sataev) finishes fretting, he will set the neck and soon afterwards give the body its first "pore-filler" coat of sealer lacquer. That should happen Wednesday or Thursday, probably... I have Officially decided not to have a Logo put on my Axe.
I feel relieved. |
One of the best Updates so far!

The Head Stock bevel has been carved, the Black binding and white side markers are on and the first sealer coat of lacquer has been applied. It looks amazing, I'm almost tempted to have it left as is, it looks great with the wet looking mahogany grain showing. This will get sanded right down to bare wood again later this week, and the actual paint work will commence shortly afterwards. I can't wait to see her all painted up and sexy lookin. :vampire: |
Small Update
Here are a couple pics from the paint room today. :D Picture---> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...leyST/blacz.jpg Picture---> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...eyST/blacz2.jpg and one more with a closeup showing the "lip" of the trem cavity... Picture---> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...yST/blackz3.jpg PS: that "block" you see sticking up there is a special painting fixture, it will be removed after painting... |
Update time.
Here are some more pics, prepping for silver (silver bevels will be done soon). After the bevels are painted front and back it will get the first clearcoat. After that's cured - the back of headstock art will be applied. Then, final clearcoats... Haha, DAAAAAAAAMN, no one gives a fuck about this thread.
Also, if it's a CUSTOM model, why do you want it to be a copy of another model? And even have a bandname on it? |

Haha, DAAAAAAAAMN, and why the fuck not? It's his money. |
I changed mind a few weeks ago since I had that idea for the funny looking
PanterA logo, Don't worry kidz--> it will now have no logo at all. :smash: Picture example--> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...adleyST/hec.jpg |

Yeah, and I was just asking. By the way, are you (Deathmaster) the man behind Daemoness-guitars? No offence, but who would ever want to play on that Antichrist-model? I would NEVER forgive myself if I got even the tiniest bit of bucklewear on that paintjob, daaaaamn. Edited for Stealthy And I can appreciate that custom model a lot more now, body shape isn't my thing though. Just never understood hwo you could be on stage for your band sporting "advertisement" for another one. On your instrument. |

I don't know what you mean by--> "are you beind Daemoness-guitars?". Your confusing me a bit. |

Exactly what I thought this morning. Why the fuck are you keep on posting if nobody cares about a replica of an existing model...lame I think  |

how many forusm do you have this posted on?
2 or 3? or more? |

I'm not the man, but I am involved. I have played the Antichrist and I wouldn't buy it personally for the fact it doesn't have a trem. I believe the clearcoat finish Dylan uses is pretty tough, but if it was really a problem, I'd spend a few quid on a less damaging belt! ;) My own Daemoness custom has been through a good couple of years worth of rehearsals and gigging and there is one minor scratch, and that's on the anodized aluminium control cover on the back. Depends on how you look after your baby I guess! |
Its has arrived.
The Bill 'n' Becky Bill Lawrence L500XL has finally arrived at the shop. http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...mpphpj773ud.jpg http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...mpphpzalSLm.jpg _______________________________________________________________________________ The painting process still isn't complete yet because the painter wasn't at the shop for a few days but I thought I'd post some more teaser shots for the hell of it. http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...mpphpi7ZZ8T.jpg http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...mpphp5JhcE7.jpg http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...mpphpWIG3PH.jpg http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...mpphpYcJaeT.jpg http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...mpphpYNbz77.jpg http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...mpphpfb73ft.jpg The back bevel is not 100% the same as the Original Burnt Black Washburn 3ST's back bevel. They have carved & painted the back bevel to more accurately match the front bevel (unlike the original Washburn version). I'm glad it was carved that way. It looks like it provides a neck heel that will be more comfortable to play when I think about it. http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...leyST/ideaz.jpg Comparison pic^. |
It will be under lacquer next.

Update.
Right now its in the paint room entirely covered in a polishing compound. That's why it looks so dirty. I'll have much more to report in a few days hopefully. Picture---> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...eyST/Tball1.jpg Picture---> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...eyST/Tball2.jpg Picture---> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...eyST/Tball3.jpg Picture---> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...eyST/Tball4.jpg |
Its still covered in the polishing compound but
not for long, the hardware gets installed soon! Picture---> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...leyST/gagit.jpg Picture---> http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...eyST/gagit2.jpg |
