DAATH

Was just wondering what Kevin Talley did after Misery Index... apparently, this.

Is it any good?

Mortal_Lament 2007-12-04 07:21

haha my band was supposed to play with these guys in toronto!
They are pretty decent, must admit, but they always get local bands to open up for them. They aren't really too huge in all honesty, they'd play the same type of venues as Mastery, or Quo Vadis y'know

got a cd at the local store. i should take a look i guess. and then i might listen to it too.

Daath is utter shit. No need to listen.

hah... its not THAT bad. only heard it a couple of times since i bought it, but i remember a number of exceptional moments. unfortunately they were followed by a greater number of moments that just dont interest me.

LordofStorms 2007-12-04 12:57

I liked 'Futility', then again I'm a sucker for almost anything industrial. Everything I've heard off of 'The Hinderers' is pretty goddamn bad though.

Edit: I'm not fond of the vocals AT ALL.

MyOwnSavior 2007-12-07 08:42

I was under the impression they were nu metal. I haven't heard them though.

Zionist 2007-12-07 09:01

I like them, the vocals are really good in my opinion.

Transient 2007-12-07 09:14

generic accessible melodic dm , barring the song "Dead on the dance floor" which i dont think theres any excuse for.

the only good thing this band has done is the song "ovum"

oh and when i saw them live they did a medley of classic dm songs- one shot one kill, day of suffering, hammer smashed face

Inaphyt 2007-12-07 09:27

I remember daath being nu metal with samples.

That's not much of a recommendation.

Inaphyt 2007-12-07 23:38

Who's recommending ;)

FBS, if your looking for kevin's intense drumming within this band, it aint really there. i mean he still plays drums, but nothing like he did.

band wise, they suck thy ass.

Bones98 2007-12-10 13:22

DAATH is pretty good stuff, nothing I can really sit down and listen to a lot, but it is still good.
