Slow?
 

Is it just me or has the site been pretty slow at times lately?

I wonder, it says there are 470 visitors (2 members and 468 guests)

What's up with that. If we have so many lurkers (I doubt it) then we should only give acces to the board for people that sign up. The tabs aren't really in the forum anyways and we might create a larger ammount of members.

im pretty sure the numbers are the lurkers on the actual tabs themselves as far as im aware, i remember someone stating that. so not all of them are on the forum according to this [which may be wrong]

That wouldn't make sense, the tabs are not on the forum but on the site. If you acces the site you do not acces the forum automatically.

So there's no way those visitors count for the forum as well, right?
I'm not really into that stuff, maybe someone knows what's up.

Having 500 users on here all the time when there's only 10 or 20 active members just doesn't seem right. We need to;
A: get them to sign up
B: kick their asses out for the sake of our speed ;)

I don't know whether or not he's right, but he might be, because the internet above all things does not make any goddamn sense.

Every other site I've been on today has loaded fast, so it's definitely something wrong with this site, so I'm inclined to agree. It might help to keep people off the forums unless they log in.

Yeah I've been noticing the same thing. At first I thought it was my computer being a bastard, but then I scanned for viruses/malware/trojans etc and it wasn't that, and I knew it wasn't my internet because every other internet application is working perfectly fine. I'm on cable.

Well the problem seems to be fixed now, at least I find it normal anyways.

I confirm that the number of visitors includes those watching the tabs. Sometimes the vast majority of these "visitors" are search engine crawlers/spiders/bots.

Yeah, the site has been REALLY fucking slow the last two days.
