Yes im a n00b.

Different sound/tone.

alot smoother.
better for slides and a much cleaner vibrato.
kind of like a permanent chorus sometimes

Also, you can play quarter tones and replicate the sound of an acoustic/stand up bass better.

They just sound cooler all together.

Cooler, but much harder to master and play in general

in your opinion....

Many reasons... most of them have already been listed in here. Although my dad always said that frets "get in the way" and playing a fretless gives you a feeling of freedom.
