2 Celestion Vintage 30 and 2 G12T75s???
 

On the Avatar Cabs web site they have the following statment regarding their 4x12 cab:

AVATAR: "With the Mix of two Celestion Vintage 30 and two G12T75s, you get the pronounced mids and upper mids from the Vintage 30s on top which are famous for projecting and really cutting through the mix ...then the bottom two G12T75s have big bass , scooped mids and sizzling highs. These two compliment each other very well and are the absolute favorites for extreme hard rock and death metal".

Has anyone tried this and would this make a good combination? Seems logical but what do I know?

Any opinions?

I own that cab myself. I purchased it about 3 months ago. It's fucking AWESOME. It has more lows than my Genz-Benz but is much more articulate on the highs. Great cab, great company too.

yeah ive heard good things about avatar go for it!

About 1 week. I had to mail a money order but the day they got the MO they assembled the cab then shipped it the next day and sent it by DHL home delivery. Very very fast on something made to order. Cant praise those guys enough.

How is the cab/sound?

I own an Avatar Vintage 4x12, awesome awesome cab. Although I have a pattern of V30's and G12H30's. I think the combo of V30's and G12T-75's would be perfect.

bogner uses the v30 & g12-75t combo in their ubercabs.

I heard that combo kicks ass.
