Drumsticks
What kind of drumsticks do you use (make, size, etc.)?
:behead: |
5a wood tip, zildijian power pro
|
double end zildjin absolutes usually.
i may change to 5a or 5b vic firth or pro mark, wood tip. i been slowly weaning down in size, i used to use marching sticks for loudness, now i want more volume control. |
Pro Mark 747 rock - apparently the same as Neil Peart, but that's nothing to do with the reason I use them. I've always been a big hitter and spent years searching for a tough stick that felt nice. By a process of elimination I found 747s.
I did have some Dave Lombardo 2B (Pro Mark) signature sticks a while ago which felt nice, but they broke after a month's hard labour. Oh well. |
anything 7a shorter the better. ive found the tips come off vic firths so ive been using pro mark recently.
|
Vic firth 7A's. I like 5A's the best, i accidently bought like 5 pairs of 7A's durring the summer so thats what I got used to haha.
|
on my acoustic set vader 5A's
on my Ekit, anything 7A's (the thinner the stick the quicker the blasts/fills) |
Vic Firth 5A and they ROCK!!!
|
Vic Firth "Metal" wood tip drum sticks.
|
ive been using a pair of nylon sticks that are sized like a 5A and they rule.
they can take a beating too. beyond that im still down with the "absolute rock" zildjian sticks. they have no tip per say. they have that identical back ends to them |
I brought a pair of black drum sticks a while back cos they looked pretty mean. Problem with them tho is the black paint they use on em can make them slippery and they mark your cymbals and snare alot...
|
Before 5a Hickory.
Now, Joey Jordison's signature drum sticks. |
I use a mixed bag of Zildjian black 5A sticks, and Vic Firth 7A. Hickory only.
