"The left hand side of the stage had been rowdy with fervent disapproval for TRIVIUM and their frontman from the beginning of their set, the band being lambasted with cries of 'death to false metal' between each of their songs; and throughout the set there was a constant exchange of rude gestures between Heafy and the antagonists. An attempt to block the missiles with a U.S. flag was shouted down by British fans, who angrily turned on the American fans, a group of young men and women who had travelled all the way from the USA to see TRIVIUM perform.

"Heafy's polemic (after battling through the rest of the song) lasted almost five minutes. However IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson was unusually quiet about the event, preferring to focus his rant on the safety of fans at the front of the crowd and the horrors of war."

One thing im not really understanding. From the story it seems that even after getting showered with pissed they still kept going. Now if i were covered in piss intead of crying to the fucking cried to stop and saying it was wrong, I would have stoped the set and took a shower. :p

I remember reading a similar story about Panic! at the Disco and My Chemical Romance getting hit with bottles over there at some UK festival. Im just wondering how dilusional these guys must be to keep going thinking "Oh its just a few drunks in the audience or something". Its the same thing with Matt Shadows getting a cyst in his throat. Its time to stop guys, piss filled balloons means its over.

What I want to know is why someone would go out of their way to pay for tickets to a Trivium show just to throw balloons at them. Sounds like someone needs to find better things to do with their time, and their money. I guess Trivium kind of deserves it... but seriously. :p

Maybe you missed the first part, they were opening for MAIDEN.

Edit: Probably the wide-spread support from the crowd for Trivium in the videos that made me think it was a concert devoted to them. Silly people.

while its funny as fuck, i dont think its right. i dont care if you dont like their music, thats fucked up. for christs sake they got to see maiden, they couldnt sit through a little trivium for that???

trivium played here before with some other bands, i just..closed my ears :idea: hahaha.

I think trivum are a discrase :p there are far better bands out there. sure there good musicians but there nothing compared to guitar legends such as Dimebag, zakk wylde and van halen, ect.

I think spelling "disgrace" "discrace" is a disgrace. :)

Every band that opens for someone like Iron Maiden or Slayer gets shit. Add the fact that Trivium are fucking garbage and you get piss balloons.
