anybody know any guilty gear-like songs?

kind of hard to explain, but im talking about songs like Punish my heaven by dark tranquility, or holy orders from guilty gear x, even futurreal from maiden, songs where you hit a high open note a lot, and just throw in some notes, here's an example

-------------------------5-0-7-0-8-7-8-0-7-5-7-0-5----------------
-5-4-5-0-7-5-7-0-8-7-8-0---------------------------8-7-8-5~-------
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------

anything is appreciated

I think these are called 'pedal tones', like where you always come back to a high note in the lick, or when you hit the open string and fret notes in a linear sequence.
Very neoclassical.

Megadeth - Rattlehead, though it's not on a particularly high string, but then it doesn't have to be.

That game had the best sound track ever.

It also has some badass bass lines. If some one tabbed some of those I wouldnt mind =)

This thread has been dead for a while but the band Warmen may be exactly what you are looking for. Though the lead is done on keyboard rather than guitar.
