No, its Tim Waterson with 1407bpm.

moe_blunts 2006-09-21 13:09

the berzerker is the fastest. however, the earlier shit isn't a real person and the later stuff isn't as fast.

haha, no, he literally hit the bass drum 1407 times in 60 seconds using a double bass pedal.

So thats 16ths at (just under) 352 bpm

Ten Ton Alien 2006-09-21 13:52

Manowar.

they actually play so fast, your hears can't keep up with the beats and everything sounds slower.

that's the power of Thor, bitch.

He's prob related to me somewhere down the line, although I can't double bass fast for shit...

Here's the video of him breaking the record http://youtube.com/watch?v=7LqS7epMYs8

John Holland 2006-09-21 14:50

Wait, is'nt there a record for straight-toe as opposed to heel-toe? I know that Waterson does the heel-toe thing ... Don't know about Yeung.

One time I slowed down one of their songs, and every 8th note he plays is actually sixteen 128th notes... and that was just DeMaio. The guitar and drums were so fast I couldn't even count after slowing it down.

Wow.

The only thing I don't like is how he accents the downbeats so much. The hits aren't evenly delivered. Still amazing, though.

DeMaio once played Sting of the Bumblebee so fast and loud, the ground cracked and swallowed the entire audience.

we should have a "Manowar facts" thread.

Morbid Angel and The Berzerker... The Amenta, and Unholy Ghost... DEVOLVED.

Yeah they all have the fastest doublekick ever.
