pick sweeping
 

Im new to the thing you call "pik sweeping". I need pointers. I need to know how to finger this.

are you sure? if you use your 3rd finger for both of those notes they will both
ring and you cant have that.
I would make it go like this:1 2 3 2 3 1 2 4

No, becker's right. Nothin will ring if you play it right, just kinda roll your third finger down, thats really important with sweeping, basically you have to have no pauses, not even a split second with el sweep, once you hit one note you have to roll or play the next note instantaneously. My opinion, becker's fingering= way to go

ye, becker is correct. but you'd have to make sure you have a 'rolling' action happening otherwise they'll ring. practice it at like...5bpm....(lol....well, maybe quicker duh) until you have it down CLEANLY! make sure you half release one finger as you press the next to get a smooth clean sound happening. nothing more pointless than playing it at 4567543785687863568535783567bpm when it sounds like slop.

Like everyone else said You gotta learn to roll your fingers, and mute strings to stop them from ringing thats what makes sweeping difficult

i played with the one sweep picking thing, and i got it down in two minutes, thanks for the fingering advice, i'm gonna be doing that shit for awhile now lol it's fun, thanks again:beer:
