The first song that my first band played was For Whom the Bell Tolls. Ahh, memories...

For Whom the Bell Tolls, the title track, and Fade to Black were my favs.

thats cool dude, that was actually the second song my first band played after Seasons in the Abyss.

Never had a band, but always used to jam on Ride the Lightning songs with my bro in the basement. Especially Fight Fire With Fire, Fade to Black, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and Creeping Death, cause those were the ones I knew the lyrics well enough to to fuckin sing and play to. We didnt have a drummer, and with Metallica, you only kinda need one.

Course, we also played Slayer and Pantera songs, for which a drummer'd help.

Heh, no one in our band really even listened to Slayer up until after I left...

Our guitarist came up with most of the shit for us to cover. He didn't want to play Pantera because he said it was too hard, so we did lots of Metallica's shit, then unfortunately got started doing radio shit because he wants to be a big rock star...Creed, Godsmack, that fucking Kryptonite song, I don't even remember who it was by, Staind, and other stuff like that.

Only songs we played because I wanted to were Mudshovel by Staind because I liked the bass line, For Whom the Bell Tolls because it was the first song I showed him, and a few by Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Rat Salad, and Selling My Soul I think.
