GCSE Bass
 

Ok i need help from everyone in the bass forum...not many people, but anyway, i have to do a 2 minute - 3 minute piece on bass to get a good grade, but i havent got a clue what to play, i was thinking anesthesia by metallica but, its just too high, and non-bassy to the music teacher anyway..any suggestions, cheers!

well, punk songs usually have very prominent bass lines.........

Try Al Jarreuas - Boogie Down. OK, it´s not Metal, but it´s a cool bass riff. I can give you the notes (capella2002)/ tab.
It´s quite fast and it´s damn impressive. So you´ll get a good mark.

some stuff from red hot chilli peppers is also pretty cool, around the world is cool to play, but the intro takes some practise...

Yeah Ive know that song for ages dude, its a cool piece, i was thinking of playing rancid's - Journey to the end of the east bay, cos that has a cool riff, anyway cheers, ill check out that song Metalpoldi :beer:

If you can´t find it, I could upload it. Don´t be surprised: it´s an keyboard-bass-riff. But it´s nice to play and sounds good on bass. I love to play it with my Jazz-Combo. Quite funky.

Yeah a 3 minute piece anything, solo, any genre, from ska-punk to death metal, but i just needed a few suggestions, cos i didnt have a clue what to play..
