Shadow. very impressive female growler/screamer. i hope they get some more recognition

Astarte. three girls. melodic/symphonic black. great catchy melodies, but lack of solos or climaxes in the leads. still a cool band.

Virgin Black has a female guitarist. Amazingly beautiful music, but not a whole lot of metal. More like a strange mix between neo-classical and goth metal, every once in a while hitting some black metal stuff. Anyway, "Sombre Romantic" blows me away. A very artistic and dark album. It's really sad and "grim" or whatever, so I tend to cringe a little sometimes when I listen to it, thinking of those whiny little goth bitches and cutters. But if you can ignore that imagery and feel, it's really some good music. And I would say Coal Chamber (female bassist, right?), but that's definitely too numetal for my taste. I tell you what would be hot: a chick that can use the low death vocals. Mmmmmm. It arouses my musical mojo. Take the mic and lullaby me away with your sweet, guttural growling, my darling of angelic brutality. :love:
