can anyone tell me how the fingers are used in fingerblast

Finger blasts are for pussies.


But anyways, you just use your fingers...to blast.

Yeah, agreed... I think you take your thumb and index finger to hold the stick and your pinky and ring finger to move the stick up and down...

i've started using it in my drumming and not on pussies.
it has improved the speed of my blasts.
but i find that you dont get much power in it.

but as you said, you can't get much power into them yet, hence why we (I) Say they are for pussies.

they are great for getting up into the 250+ blasts BUT you need lots of practice and to push down hard with your thumb to get any power in them.

I am actually looking at expanding my finger playing, mainly cause I want to start pushing my speed boundries, I use mainly wrists but have started using a bit of finger in my playing!

I recently saw I monarch drum video by derek roddy.
it's amazing what he does with his feet.
he's playing 4/4 on the top and at the same time
playing 2's with one foot and 3's with the other.

The way they finish it, it shouldn't start chipping, that's what I hear anyway.... :confused:

You should try that out, it's actually not too hard to do if you're decent on drums. A good way to impress people.

I've seen some pictures with the paint chipping off.

I heard the paint can wear off if you play in Barefeet (from the sweat and the friction of your feet) but I have never heard of it CHIPPING off.

the actually pattern is between the kicks and the hi hats, with your right foot, you go Kick, Hi hat, Kick Hi hat etc.

left foot: Kick, Hi hat Hi Hat, Kick, Hihat Hi hat etc.

Well I just saw it in person, and I seriously doubt it's going to chip off...

Maybe not chip, but wear off. I've seen pictures of the black longboards with some silver spots. When I come across another picture, i'll post it up.

if darth vader played drums, those would be his pedals, im suprised to hear they are painted, i forget the word but i thought they would put the color into the metal, kind of like galvanization where they stain the parts when they are cast
