Warmoth
Im not sure, does anyone know if Warmoth make neck's,with All Access neck joints(AANJ)?
|
those assholes live by me and won't let me come in and get something for like 2 bucks...
|
I would bet they do, like an Ibanez neck? I need a AANJ washer for my Ibanez RG, I lost one. Anyone got a spare to sell me?

if you wanna get a aanj warmoth neck, wait a while. i read somewhere on project guitar, that warmoth are developing and working on super thin aanj type necks. well something like that, search around project guitar for the proper article/email. how much you prepared to spend on a neck? btw, what body u using for your project? |

Hey! Thanks! Those are kinda pricey. I just need one of the washers. I checked my local hardware store, they didn't have anything like it. Those damn things are unique. I'll see if I can snake one off e-bay. |
A mahogany,6 string,rg shaped body, natural fininsh,PAFpro and Evo being installed ATM,dunno what the bridge situation is,I want a hardtail, non trem bridge.Maybe Wilkinson or Shaller.Do you know of any other neck builders?Or any suppliers of Ibanez necks?
|
Seems they dont make any,or wont,AANJ's.Only strat replacements.
|
You can get a neck without the screwholes and then drill them and reshape the heel for AANJ yourself. They wont make 24 fretters without fretboard overhang though and that sucks.
|
I think the best thing you could do is just to look around for a wizard neck on ebay.

Good idea, but I would rather not chance my skills on a brand new warmoth neck. Quote:
Sounds like an idea,Ive been keeping an eye out. Also searching for where an Ibanez supplier is that stocks replacement necks. |
.
im a little confused. what exatly is an all access neck joint? what does it do? :)
|
It holds the neck onto the guitar. Its a alternative to the standard strat neck joints. It gives you better access to higher frets because it has a less bulky heel joint.
|
this is an all access neck joint, it gives you better access to the higher frets than other bolt ons

The overhang for the replacement 24 fret necks is so that the scale length is still correct. If you made the actual neck a little longer so there wasn't anymore fretboard overhang, the scale length wouldn't be 24.75" (or whatever it is), anymore, which'd cause you problems with intonation all over the place :) |
i think i get it . thinner right?
