Ibanez 8-string guitar?
 

Anybody have pics or know where to find them of this fabled guitar? People keep saying that Meshuggah & other bands use them but ive never seen one. On Meshuggah.net it says they use 7 & 8 string Ibanezs.

i didnt like my rg3120 that much (mainly cuz the pu's and the trem), but my 7 string was damn nice, although i prefer a jackson neck.


but seriously a 8 string guitar (i mean every 8 string ive ever seen) looks like shit, the guy loks like shit aswell, so i compared them :p

I heard Ibanez have to stick two trems together to make the 8 string version or something like that, coz it would cost too much to get a mold built then only have like a few guys wanting to buy these 8 strings.

try that guitar that the liquid tension experiment plays not john petrucci but the other guy.

I thought Meshuggah used some other brand of 8 string. At least for Nothing. I thought it was some small company/luthier. This may have been a few months ago...
30" scale and 8 strings...we bassists have to handle worse than that. Try 36" and this :vampire: :

There's a thread in the Bass Zone with tons of pics of awesomely weird basses... like 2-strings, assloads of 8-strings, a 10 string, a bass that looks like a cock, and an 8 string with 40 frets. No shit, take a look.

Does Ibanez plan on releasing the 8-string to the public? Not that I would ever need to tune that low, but it would be interesting to try that guitar...
