Here is my all time most hated bands (due to lack of vocal quality) list:
I will not include "Brutal" death metal or black metal because i.m.o its all crap. Don't include shit that nobody's even heard of cause most of that is shit on a stick too.

Death (I know, I know.... Chuck is an amazing guitarist and musician though)

In Flames........ yea his whispering and talking in songs really annoys me
Dream Theater - HAHAHAH what a joke
Nightrage (vocalist from At the gates... sux sux sux)

On the other hand, i find that these bands vocals are amazing!
Morbid Angel, Behemoth (older), Children of Bodom (older), Hate Eternal, Wintersun, Deathfare, bloodbath, carcass, down, hatesphere, Meshuggah (newer), NILE, Opeth..... and more....

I rather like In Flames and Behemoth's Demigod vocals. I also like how Chuck sounds on The Sound of Perserverance.

But then, I hate Garm's voice (Arcturus) so what do I know?

I also don't like Watchmaker.

I agree with At The Gates in a way and i also agree with the new In Flames stuff. The singer seems like he gives half his effort. I think he was very good before, but soundtrack to your escape is horrid.

To add to the list, i think most people will agree with these two, Burzum and Six Feet Under

lets see, um, In Flames, Burzum, Cradle of Filth, thats all I can really think of right now...

I was just wondering why people dislike Varg's vocals so much.
I liked them on Burzum/Aske. Not that much on Det Som Engang Var
because he just sings too much. The thing with his vocals is that they
should be used more sparsely, or else they are a bit annoying.
I still thing they are good though.

dude listen to the song war, (not sure the album its one) then youll see why people hate his vocals

Thats the main reason why I hate the vocals, and the music in general. His voice is cracking in the song and stuff, its awful.

the new guy on Exodus (seriously, the new album went from a 9 to a 7 thanks to that guy).

the "screamo" guy on 3 Inches Of Blood. ditch him. now.

Chris Barnes in Six Feet Under (he was great in CC).

Niklas Isfeldt (Dream Evil). not bad, but the songs call for more high pitched screams. he would be great in Mystic Prophecy though.

I dont like Mike Di Salvios vocals on And then you will beg, though the music is great. I also despise the vocals from some Disgorge songs and In flames? It is obvious. It is fucking nu metal these days.

Varg doesnt have the best vocals in the world, but I like them anyway. They sound so natural and gives me a depressive feeling.

Mastodon and Nightwish have some bad vocals. Doesn't really matter, they aren't the greatest bands.
