Does anyone out there know anymore great melodic speed metal bands out there?
I'm always dying to know more since I love speed metal. :beer:

It's basically the same thing as thrash metal but with a little bit more melody.

Are they fast?

I think he/she is looking for like Power/speed metal thing than a thrash band.

Yeah, Coroner is fast. Everyone should spend at least 6 months to a year appreciating that band. :cool:

You should be a little more specific about what bands you are already into.

crap like Blind Guardian, Dragonforce, Cacophony,

Like power metal type shit? Try Kalmah, they are power metal with grim vocals.

I'm not making myself clear thats my bad, lol. I'm looking for something more along the lines of Cacophony

Jason Becker and Marty Friedman were in that band

Not many bands even come close to their Dual shredding style. Not speed metal, but along the dual lead guitarists, early Racer X would be one.

Dragonforce is fast, fuckin fast.

and of course, Kruiz, with their 318bpm song.

Watchtower, Forbidden, Rigor Mortis, Sanctuary, Annihilator, and SA Slayer are good bands to check out. Also, I'd like to back up everybody who said Coroner- that's good shit. A little Destruction wouldn't hurt.

If you're looking for heavy shred stuff like Cacophony, then check out Chris Poland, Guy-Mann-Dude, Vicious Rumors. (And Destruction)

Oh yeah! I completely forgot about Destruction. Also Metal Church, they are kind of cheesy but they are good.
