Best Bass Guitars Made
What do you think the best bass guitar brand is?
B.C. Rich
or Rickenbacker

Stachio 2005-03-02 21:10

This is a very subjective topic.
Not to mention that you are omitting at least 100 other brands I can think off(Zon, Modulus, Spector, Ernie Ball, Marleaux, Roscoe, etc.)

u also forgot to mention the bass which your "bass god" used to use -- aria pro

no competition.

This thread is all about personal choice, there is no facts, but my opinions would be

Im sure theres many others that are good, its just those are the ultimate makes that come to my head..

Sodomaniac 2005-03-03 08:15

The best one is always your own bass guitar because you are used to play with it.

Tattered 2005-03-03 13:53

Haha, not when you have a shitty p bass and have G.A.S for a decent bass.

Probably the old neck-thru handmade ones. Pricey tho

I guess my favorites would have to be ESP becuase I play one and Traben because they are just awesome.

Local_Hero 2005-03-04 14:56

Alembic, I would buy one if I had the money.

HelpMeHelpYou 2005-03-05 01:00

Squire all the way...

HelpMeHelpYou 2005-03-05 01:01

haha actually I'd have to go with ESP on this one.

Tattered 2005-03-05 19:47

Esp as best basses made?! have you played any of the basses listed above??

I like the sound of alembic, but not the shape of the body, there pretty ugly.. but the slap sound is unbeleivable.

Cattlefan#1 2005-03-07 19:35

Carl Thompson makes the best basses ever IMO....

Tattered 2005-03-07 19:37

Les claypool uses them doesent he? they have a brilliant sound, not too keen on the shape of the things though..

McCalister999 2005-03-19 15:02

I love the sound of Wal basses, Geddy Lee owns one, and Justin Chancellor from Tool plays one.
I own a Fender, and I love it but Warwicks kill as well, not to mention Spectors which are pretty honorable.

Tattered 2005-03-19 16:39

Yeah, theres a lot of good bass makes out there.. my fav would have to be

Ernie Ball

My favorite that i've played is a Schecter, but my favorite that i've heard is Warwick.

hearken 2005-03-22 17:10

of course with more money better quality but i would warn you to play it first because the two custom bass guitars i've had that i paid dearly for didn't play as well as my cheapy ibanez. what ever you can afford is a good bass guitar. bang for buck though i'm voting on Ibanez.
