30-60-band EQ rack mount for guitar?
 

I'm looking for a quality EQ rackmount for my guitar. I know absolutely nothing about rackmounts, so this would be my first one.
(Not any specific number of bands, but definitely more than what's available in the MXR EQ pedal. Just something that will satisfy the control freak in me :D )

Which models are most ideal for the guitar's frequencies? Anything made specifically for guitar? And if so, which models should I be keeping an eye on?

30 band is way overkill... hell I think my 15 band is too much.

I use an Alesis M-EQ230, works great for me. Get them all day long on eBay for $100.00 or less.

check out some DOD's, my gets the job done for $40.

Its a rack mounted eq.. nothing special.

I think it would be quite hard to make a shitty eq.. but you never know.

dod pedals blow ass... all of them, unless you purposely going for that "so lofi that its almost neat" sound... but they have made a couple usable peices of gear.

30+ band eq's are for true audiophiles imo... you probably don't need anything more than a boss ge-7... if you even need one at all.

Uhhh I've never used one or anything, but 30 band eq? That's helluva lot to control and tweak. Isn't like a 10 band more than enuf?

When your playing guitar, 7 bands is enough ;)

Im talking about rack gear.. I would never buy anything with DOD on it besides and EQ, its kind ahard to make a shitty EQ.

But yeh their pedals definetly suck.

I don't know what my problem is, but I can never tweak the EQ enough to my satisfaction. Even with the MXR pedal I'm not satisfied ...

Maybe you need a new guitar? ;)

Just kidding. Some people want to tweak till they drop, for me 7 bands are just what I can handle.

Yeah, i know. But the joke would be ruined if i said: DOD make good doorstops, but boss doesn't except for the MD-2 and MT-2 and cheesy multi-fx etc.

i'm not a fan of their distortion pedal, but their fx are really good quality... not the best, but if you want the best you're going to be shelling out 2-3 times as much money for botique stuff.
