Pretty cool little "egyptian" scale
 

I was messing around with a D lydian and came up with this scale as sort of a variation. It sounds pretty egyptian or middle eastern depending on how its used...(yes i know theres 2 C's right next to eachother on the scale [12-7] but if you play them in sort of a descending pattern it sounds pretty cool)

There's a thread already for stuff like this.

that thread specifically says Post riffs (of your own or from a band) that show different aspects of theory and how it's used, not just showing different scales. thus i'd be going against the rules of that thread to post a scale there...i didnt treat what i posted as a riff...its more of a scale :)

Thanks cannibal...i combined your scales and mine and just sort of messed around and recorded it...this way people can get the jist of how they sound :)

That's a neat scale but I am never going ot practice something I cannot incorporate into my sound. If only I had wrote that solo to powerslave.
