How low do you wear you're guitar?
 

I'm interested in knowing this, how low do you wear you guitar when standing? (how long is the strap)

I wear mine about so that the pickups are in beltbuckle hight. Any lower than that and my wrist will hurt after about 5-7 minutes of playing.

anyone so necro and grim and wear it as low as zakk or heatfield? :vampire:

i used to have mine all the way down and "cool" then i realised "hey i cant play!" so i hiked it up so between the PU's is probably at my buckle if not a little higher

PUs are at about my belly button.

pickups at my dick.
its the most comfortable there.
probably cause i wank stood up.
i cant play the E,A or D strings above the 12 fret, but if i want to be able to play them i have to look like a penguin with the strings six inches under my chin.

the rest of my playing isnt affected

same as manowar. I sometimes raise it a bit for harder songs

I wear mine above my belly button. I find it's the best position. You can roll around and still play accuratly.

Yeah, pickups around the belt buckle is decent. Anything lower and it starts getting in to that punk style. Can't have that.

Body of the guitar directly over my stomach.

About here. I tend to tilt the neck up when my blood gets tired though.

Same as Darko. It seems teh better I got the higher my guitar went. Basicly so it in the same position as when I play sitting down.

I wear my strat so that the body is centered around the stomach area. Similar to BLS.

Dead, you are correct... Guitar is ideal in same position as when sitting...

pick ups around belly button height, have guitar titled so not straight.

Pickups on my belly button.any lower than that hurts n playing solo's are kinda hard

im as cool as Tom De'schlong' so i wear the top of the body of the guitar below my balls because im the ultimate in c00l. :rolleyes:

*thankfully im not* and wear the lowest point of the top of teh body just an inch or two higher than my belly button. :sleeping:

out of interest how many of you lot play with a classical left hand finger style, ie thumb in the centre of the neck and fingers perpendicular to the strings?

i dont. my left hand is very heavily set into the 60's style hendrix type fingering.
i can do either but prefer that way

i try and get my left hand ;) perpendicular, like when i play power chords but i find myself getting out of that position when i move on the the high strings, i suppose practice, practice and a bit more practice will sort that out. ;) ;)

my low e is just at the bottom of my belly button, any lower, all i an play is power chords and tremoloed single notes, but i usually play full chords, so where i keep it is perfect

Same as BLS. With the body on my stomach. That way I can go nuts and still play accuratly.
