Slayer New Album?! Anytime Soon?!
 

Its been a while since slayer did 'God Hates Us All' 2001 in fact, 3 years and no album.. whats taking them so long.. any rumours or obvious news that they will be doing one soon?

i heard that theyve been working on it for a while.

Meh i read that they'll be starting the record process in january/february.

maybe im not sure i watch it on the headbangers ball during ozzfest they had videos and shit from ozzfest ppl. and they had slayer talkin bout it. they didnt say much though.

They have something like 11 or 12 songs just about finished musically but not lyrically. Right now American Recordings is switching distributers again so the band is going to wait to record the songs because if they did it now, the album would be sitting on the shelf for who knows how long.

last i heard they had about 90% written but nothing recorded yet
im not getting my hopes up for it to be great but hey daves back so you never know

As long as its somewhat better than God Hates Us all it should be an Ok album. Just hope its more old school.

Yeah, well a year or two ago, I read something Kerry said in an interview. And they were experimenting with 7 strings.

7 strings can be used to great affect.

After 'Reign' no band would need to progress...

7 strings could be used and are a great idea, but they have been used by mostly a bunch of queers from what I have seen

6 string=cool
add another 6 strings (12) = cool
minus 5 strings (7) = stupid

you left out
ten strings=semi cool

I once had a five string guitar. Then I went out and bought a new set of strings and it was a 6 string guitar again. :p

my friend had a 3 string acoustic... fuckign awesome shit.. except the string spacing is kinda wierd

i'm gonna make a 3 3/4 string guitar, with a built in beer holder.

make sure it's for 12, 22, and 40 ouncers!

you meen like on banjos how one of the strings only goes half way up the neck, whats up with that anyway
