About remembering Pi: I have a 'useful' mnemonic that can aid you in remembering the first 15 digits of Pi. It goes like this:

"How I need a drink, alcoholic in nature, after the heavy lectures in quantum mechanics"

Take the length of the words and convert it to the corresponding digit of Pi. So:

Pi = 3.14159265358279 (to 14 d.p)

Once again useless, but (slightly) interesting.
