Bass picking - Hope no one has asked this question before!
 

Ok, simple question...

When playing a song with the rest of the band (guitars, drums) is bass picking done at the same speed as guitar picking? e.g. if the guitarist is picking ultra-fast for a blast beat, does the bassist pick at that same ultra-fast speed or slightly slower?
I'm a so called "1-man band" and am a drummer in the first place, so I don't know much about basses. :angel: Cheers! :vampire:

hmm I think the bassist can play fast like the guitar or a bit slower and he can play faster as the guitar if it sounds good ... I think it is your decision !

yeah, whatever sounds good to you, the bassline doesn't have to follow the guitars either, as long as its in groove with the drums

Yes, that's what I heard many years ago. "The bass and drums go together", and I guess it's true.

I guess if it sounds right, then it's good! :beer:
