Well it's official, http://roadrun.com .
I don't really care much, they made two good albums, then two shit albums IMO, never really cared for them that much anyways.

oh well... seems like everyone's starting to break up(either purposedly or accidentally), but I don't really care about Fear Factory. And it seems a shitty break up too. Burton said that he's not angry enough to sing anymore. HAH! that is the most lame excuse i've ever heard!

Which albums of theirs do you say are good?
I don't mind a few songs off of Obsolete, and everyone I've asked swears by Demanufacture, which I've never heard...

well how can the guy be pissed off all the time if he's got the $$?? its not a bad excuse to me, its better then being like slipknot and pretending to be angry at everyone and everything all the time

crying orc, are you kidding?

i mean seirously now?! Fear factory is fucking good!

I listen to strictly death metal and industrial
and fear factory merges both, and they WERE really heavy, replica, new breed, self immolation, martyr, etc etc

You jsut have a funny pic.... is you pic mortiis?

Never liked them.

I think not angry enough to sing is a prime excuse, actually.

hmmmz. pretty fucked up if it's permanent.

I don't know if they are gettin back in the cirquit, they probably will.. I like the vocalist a lot.
hope we hear more of them in the far future. I heard the new album but that sounded a lot like a limp bizkit ripp off :( "back the fuck up?" <-- what the hell is that anyways

I really like about three or four songs from each of their albums. I think a select few others are pretty cool, but I just can't get into all of it. But that's like me with most bands. It's rare that I'll like an entire album... there's a few exceptions though.

But that excuse is utter shite!! Not angry enough to sing. If you sing with nothing but pure anger fueling the stove then you're not much of a singer/musician. But... each to his own I guess.

Fact 1: 'Demanufacture' is a wicked album.
Fact 2: Most of 'Obsolete' is cool.
Fact 3: 'Digimortal' is a steaming pile of shit.

Maybe Burton got bored with the same old formula of:

Verse 1: Sing angrily
Chorus: Sing like a choirboy
Verse 2: Sing angrily
Chorus: Sing like a choirboy

That same old formula was starting to wear a bit thin by 'Digimortal'. I'd rather them split up than produce another shit album.

As for saying they have no talent; I think thats harsh. Raymond Herrera must be one of the best drummers out there...

Damnit I liked them...

I sure had some good times with them... one of the bands that got me into metal...

same here. if it wasn't for 'demanufacture' and pantera's 'the great southern trendkill' i wouldn't have been metal. but I am, and I'm loving it. the end of fear factory still sucks, though.

The reformed FEAR FACTORY — now consisting of Christian Olde Wolbers (guitar/bass), Raymond Herrera (drums), and Burton C. Bell (vocals) — have posted for download 45-second samples of three cuts from their recently-recorded demo.

The songs available for preview are as follows:

01. Slave Labor http://members.iinet.net.au/~sambo75/fearfactory/soundclips/SLAVE%20LABOR.MP3
02. Corporate Cloning http://members.iinet.net.au/~sambo75/fearfactory/soundclips/CORPORATE%20CLONING.MP3
03. Archetype http://members.iinet.net.au/~sambo75/fearfactory/soundclips/ARCHETYPE.MP3

A fourth cut recorded during the same sessions, "Bite The Hand That Feeds", was not made available for download, but is believed to be among the tracks planned for inclusion on the band's upcoming studio album, tentatively due in late 2003.

At the time of this writing, it is not clear if Roadrunner Records will exercise their contractual option to issue the group's next studio album, which will mark the band's first release without guitarist/co-founder Dino Cazares.

FEAR FACTORY unceremoniously split in early March after announcing the departure of Bell, whose personality clashes with Cazares proved to be too much for the frontman to handle, eventually forcing him to leave the group. Subsequent interviews with Cazares and Herrera revealed deep-rooted differences between the other members and Dino, who has since announced plans to launch an as-yet-unnamed new project.

what?

hey that's cool, but Dino isnt with them anymore? what the fuck? they splitted up because of burton didn't they?

hm, fucked, without dino, it ain't fear factory, man I loved that band back in the day

i'll listen to those mp3's straight ahead and form my opinion, I think it won't be all that happening, but who knows,

add-on, 21.05,

I heard the new songs, corporate cloning and slave labor sound pretty ok, the other song is pretty much shit.
I am a bit surprised, the new demo stuff sounds better than I had expected, corporate cloning reminds me of some of the older stuff! (which is good)

It was Dino and Burton who had the problems I thought......

So now the bass player is playing guitar too???

Def

Jesus K. Christu. The recycle from hell.

On recycling:

Topic from previous month about exactly the same current topic = bad recycle. This is what we always complain about. Find the old thread.

Topic from three years ago nobody cares about = bad recycle too. It's perfectly safe to start a new one.
