It IS actually different here : the legal drinking age is 18 :).
EDIT : By the way, HopeAndChaos, welcome back to Montreal, it always sucks as much down here.

hahaha, thanks yes Canada is better than the fucking " I rule the world " America.. haha have to get better at my Francais though...
lol, that language sucks.
but Canada has descent beer, whilst America only has piss-water, so thats a BIG plus.
I guess I liked canada a lot, I have relatives there, they got a transportation company with trucks and shit, when I went there I saw a lot of cool scenery, yes, I love nature, but we don't have a lot nature over here ya know. :(

Well At least you are in a city like Montreal, for some odd reason when bands do a cross Canada tour, they stop in Quebec, and thats it. And for my friends and I we have to take a 10 hour train ride just to see a show...
Wellcome back, injoy the health care.

Ta gueule :D
And we have more than just "decent beer".
Try to find: La fin du monde, Don de dieu, 1837, Éphémère, Eau bénite.
Those are high quality strong beer.

Let's not forget la Maudite and Boréale (cuivrée, of course).
And yeah, Molson is crap but cheaper. And that attracts a lot more people than what it actually tastes.
EDIT : Including me. (only when I'm broke of course)
I've had La Fin Du Monde, La Maudite and some 3rd one which had a horse on it.....can't remember the name though.
They're fucking expensive though.....but they're good and strong!

that was probably a Cheval Blanc. very good too.
Don't think so man....the little story on the bottle said something about Satan being turned into a black horse and erecting a Church for some people.....something along those lines.

Trois Pistoles then ! If it was a black horse with wings, I think it's called Trois Pistoles. Unibroue's beers are conceptual and inspired by myths and legends.
Yeah yeah yeah! That's it!
Unibroue rules. I first heard of them at a Beer Expo a couple years ago. Notice they had beers called "La Fin Du Monde" and "La Maudite", thought it was awesome. And the beers fucking rules too. So smooth.

no I won't shut the fuck up bitch ;)
i remember that word from when I was on holiday and france, ferme ta gueule!
and uh, tu es un petit putin!!! (thats what I said to a girl's little brother) I really made some good friends there :D
a 'beer expo' huh? sounds like holland in a nutshell, we've got beer orientated festivals and in some places even beer orientated official days off
Molson isn't all 'that' hip, but it beats the american piss I guess. I haven't had those beers you've mentioned but I think I remember 1837 from somewhere, do they also serve that in France??? (I think I had it over there but I'm not sure)

@ Def: Dude, you got to go with the Nova Scotia stuff, "ALEXANDER KEITH'S", or New Brunswick's "MOOSEHEAD", or form my birth provence Newfoundlad "Blue Star". We in the Maritimes have the best beer. FUCK THE MAINLAND!
hmm, well I'll think about that when I'm around canada, which is probably gonna be in 2 years or something, visting my uncle who lives there.
I don't think they sell that stuff over here, we can get molson and that crap though.
