ibanez350dx, huh, how much did you spend on it? Mine is a 270dx and I bought it for $200 off of a buddy (worth I think $350 or $400). It stays in tune okay.

I don't know if there's much difference...
Here's a 270dx:

and here's a 350dx:

From what I've heard, anything below a 500 is similar to what atif said. Meaning if you make a VanHalen type dive, it will go out of tune.

surprisingly enough after HOURS of testing out the trem, bringing all the way down up and every where in between, it has not gone out of tune once... the most surpising thing is - these are brand spanking new strings.. wtf?

That should be a good thing.

I dont have the lock on my E and A string and I use the trem and it never goes out :flame:
man, 369$? was that the best deal you could find? you should've looked out for a deal.
You could've gotten a discontinued RG570 new (with case would be >470$)
but that's a much better quality, and more reliable with the better Tremolo.
i got my Rg570 for ~300$ with case (but i also happened to get it off ebay and it was played a few times before.)

Hey atifman I got a 570 too... do u know why they discontinued them?

If my sources are correct, the main difference between the 270dx and 370dx is with the trem. I think that the 270dx trem locks only at the nut, where-as the 370dx locks at both the nut and the bridge.

I got a guitar for x-mas last year (WRXT). This year I got and EMG 85 :flame: It sounds marvelous.
i don't know why they discontinued that model, all i know, is they sort of "upgraded" it into a prestige model and didn't replace it with a guitar of the same price and quality. they only have crappier guitars (than the 570) for less, and better ones for more money.
it's a great guitar too, a good "2nd" guitar, for shredding cats like me.

well after a week of ownership, it faithfully stays in tune. even with all that bending and shit. it's sounds absolutely incredible too... i cant wait to put EMG's in it. it would sound INCREDIBLE! and yes i am planning on doing that... speaking of upgrades, i cant understand why some one would put locking tuners on a guitar that already has a locking nut.. what is it for???? what a waste...
i mean c'mon. the tuning already locks in place for stability. locking tuners lock the tuning as well, but with a locking nut already in place, it makes it poinless.WTF????
