What are some good ones? I've seen some with John Petrucci and Paul Gilbert but I'm lookin' for more. Try and name the full title of the video so I can rip it from the internet;)

I have a full Ynview one that I can send to you. The only probelm with it is that when he is suppose to slow it down for you...he hardly does. I've heard there is a blooper of them saying "You have to play it slower!" and he replies "I can't play it any fucking slower!". But yeah, go online and I'll send it.

And boy would I kill for a Jason Becker one.

Yeah guitar.com has nice ones. I have the Opeth one which is impressive becasue they don't have a distortion pedal while interviewing so they play all their material clean, and it still sounds great. I found a Gorguts video too where they explain there odd techniques, and confess their apathy towards music theory.

the Opeth will sound awesome clean because it is all written on a seagul acoustic whick Mikeal reattatched the neck to. Well, since he joined the band many albums ago.

I found the Zakk Wylde, Opeth, and Satriani guitar.com videos a while ago. I got a little out of the opeth one but not the others. Oh and I got one with Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden....he sucked.

Spiky, rip it off kazaa like I did. Type in under videos "guitar.com"

m=l, tnx, i just finished downloading both of them... their awesome, great sound and al... the drapery falls is my favourite opeth song :)

but as far as being an instructional vid... its net very instructional... they do show some cool chords and leads, but their very awkwardly filmed i think... the chords are very hard to make out :(

still it made my day :D

Yeah you don't get a lot of lesson out of it but it will open your mind a little more when writing music. I wrote some doomy acoustic shit after watching that video. Its very Opeth sounding but doesn't sound like any songs from them.

you have only replied with 3 small videos that aren't really instructional guitar videos but more of interviews. Doesn't any of u know more real intrcutional good guitar metal videos?

get john petrucci rock discipline. it's easily found with kazaa. yngwie malmsteen full shred is also good, if you like his style. just be prepared to watch a lick 5 or 10 times before you see what he's doin, because he really doesn't slow down a whole lot sometimes.

yah that opeth video was pretty poorly filmed. sometimes the bass guitar is blocking the lead guitar while he's showin you how to do stuff, and they don't zoom in too well to focus on things that i would have liked them to do. malmsteen's is great in that respect, because they show the fretboard and then a closeup of his picking, too. rock discipline is even better.. it's very well done.

There are alot to choose from. The best instructional videos I have seen
that actually slow down and explain what they are doing are the paul gilbert videos. Intense rock1,Intense rock2, Terrifying guitar trip. John Petrucci Rock discpline is good to. Micheal angelo Speed kills is ok. Chris impelleteri speed soloing is ok. Or how about Troy Stenia Speed mechanics for lead guitar.
Thats a good book and cd.
